Preliminary studies on the control of aphids - I. Inhibitor
and. auxin-like substances in Plants of Medicago sativa L. susceptible, resistant
and inmune to aphid’s attack.
By means of the Avena coleptile assay of ether extracts of alfalfa plants
it is intented to determine to mhat extend natural substances of the type of
inhibitors and / or auxins are implicated in the degree of susceptibility, resistant
and immunity observed in different lines of alfalfa ( Medicago sativa L.) grown
in the field.
No activity of auxins-like substances was found in the extracts, but those
of the type of inhibitores were prominent and were in direct relation to the
degree of resistant.
It is discussed some possible mechanisme involved through the action of
these types of substances
